What is Deep Drawn Stamping?

Deep drawing is a process by which sheet metal is stretched over a special die or form and shaped into a state that is suitable for its particular purpose. Our industry considers a drawn product to be "deep-drawn" when the depth of the product is as great or greater than its radius.

For the products we specialize in, the sheet metal is often of heavy gauge. We build products such as oil pans, heat shields, sump covers, and transmission pans for OEMs in the heavy-duty truck and other transportation industries, so our ability to draw products from thick metals is critical to our success.
